Beautiful vintage hand-painted portrait miniature depicting Maria Isabella von Rutland (1723–1792), identified by the original German inventory label retained on the reverse.
The miniature features exceptionally fine hand-painted details visible throughout the face, eyes, hair and clothing and is signed/artist-marked along the left side. The signature has not been identified.
Presented under a convex clear glass in an elaborate miniature frame featuring ivory-tone panels, a warm cream/gold oval surround, tortoiseshell-look outer border and ornate floral metal bezel. Original hanging hardware remains attached.
The reverse label reads “Rahmen-Nr. 1-01/4x5, Bild 4-13, Maria Isabella v. Rutland (1723–1792).” The labeling and construction appear consistent with German miniature-manufactory work; attribution has not been independently confirmed.

Very attractive vintage condition with age-related surface wear, fine lines/separations and marks to the frame. Please review all photographs closely as they form part of the condition description.
