Vintage Brass and Cast Iron Miniature Cannon, Taiwan

This vintage miniature cannon has a gold-toned brass barrel mounted on a black cast iron carriage. Two open spoked wheels sit on either side, and a long tapered trail ends in a small loop. Two screws hold the barrel between the carriage cheeks, and slotted axle screws fasten the wheels.

This miniature cannon is a decorative desk or shelf piece, made in Taiwan and likely from the 1970s. It sits well on a bookshelf, mantel or office desk, and suits collectors of military miniatures, brass and cast iron, or anyone who likes a small object with some weight. It also makes a thoughtful gift for a history lover or a housewarming.

The photos show it styled on a shelf with books and an amethyst cluster. The books and the amethyst are for styling only and are not included.
