Beautiful vintage Brazilian butterfly taxidermy serving tray featuring real mounted butterflies, including vibrant blue Morpho butterflies, displayed beneath glass around a colorful tropical landscape centerpiece. The tray is crafted from wood with decorative inlaid trim and integrated side handles, making it both functional and highly decorative.
Made by Carlos Zipperer in São Bento do Sul, Santa Catarina, Brazil, this piece was likely produced during the 1970s–1980s, a period when handcrafted butterfly trays and natural history décor from Brazil were popular export items. These trays are now sought after by collectors of taxidermy, entomology displays, tropical décor, curiosity cabinets, and vintage Brazilian craftsmanship.
A unique statement piece perfect for display on a coffee table, bar cart, bookshelf, or gallery wall. Shows light vintage wear consistent with age. Please review all photos carefully for condition and details.
