Beautiful matched pair of antique/vintage cast brass decorative furniture mounts featuring an ornate fruit basket and ribbon bow motif in the Louis XVI / Neoclassical Revival style.
Purchased in an antique store in the Netherlands.
Each highly dimensional mount depicts an overflowing woven basket filled with clusters of grapes, fruit and detailed foliage, suspended from twisted cords beneath a large tied ribbon bow.
Unlike lightweight stamped brass appliqués, these are substantial cast metal pieces weighing approximately 7 oz (198 g) each. Each mount has three original mounting holes, indicating they were intended as decorative furniture or architectural hardware.

Combined weight: approx. 14 oz / 396 g
Unmarked as far as I can determine.
